Sweet Shoppe Party #2!

Here's a look at a few more party ideas for a
   Sweet Shoppe Birthday Party!

Another look at the cake!
Fondant lollipops are a MUST with any sweet shoppe cake!

A clever way to display napkins, using favor boxes by Birthday Express!
Napkins and favor boxes by Birthday Express!

You don't need fancy tags, just grab the card stock, use your scrapbooking scissors, and cool ribbon.

This colorful candy display didn't make the final cut, but I do love it!  Simply display colorful lollipops on a bed of colorful candies.

Now isn't that SWEET! ;)

Izzy's Sweet Shoppe Party

We made these letters out of foam board, then used Tacky Glue to glue on sprinkles and candy!

Guess how many gumdrops and candles game!

My sweet sprinkled cake pops!
Cookies and cupcakes don't need to be to elaborate.  Just use nice colors and pretty sprinkles.

We used more foam board to make these giant lollipops.  The sticks are plastic cake supports.

How to Make Button Cookies

How to make "oh sew cute"
          Button Cookies!

A tutorial by Samantha Eyth

#1 Use your favorite sugar cookie recipe. :)

#2 Use gel colors to color your dough.  Mix well, kneading in until you get the right color.

#3 Roll out your dough, cut out with large circle cutter.

#4 Using medium cutter, make an impression only.  Do not cut out!

#5  Cut out four small circles in the middle, saving dough to add back to your mixture.

#6  Sprinkle with sugar crystals if desired, bake, and done!

Button Cookies make adorable favors for a Lalaloopsy or sewing themed party.  They are also a nice gift for someone who loves to sew. :)

Simple Ways to Decorate with Candy

I always keep an antique mason jar around for a simple, ever changing decoration.   I simply change the candy from season to season; holiday to holiday.   It's an easy, and cheap way to decorate!  You could even use several jars to line a kitchen shelf or mantel; if you love using something sweet and vintage like me.
